Rules

Format & Rules.

Tournament is to be played on Saturday, 4 November 2017 starting 09.00 until finish
Venue of the tournament will be at Lapangan Tenis Taman Patra, Jl. Patra Kuningan Raya, Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan
Each player will be guaranteed 2 Singles matches
Matches will be the 1 Set with No-Advantage, and normal Tie-Break applied at 5-5
Round robin will be applied with 4 groups of 3 players. The winner and runner-up of each group will go through to Quarter Final stage. Quarter Final stage onwards will use a knock-out system.
In the event of a three way tie in the Round Robin stages (all players have 1-1 win loss matches), highest percentage of games won will decide the player’s position. When all three players have the exact percentage of games won, then all Round Robin matches will be replayed with normal Tie-Break (with 1 point to decide the winner at 6-6)
The third placed player from each group will be eliminated from tournament play but may play in another Round Robin group (if time permits) to decide the 9th – 12th position in the tournament. These matches will be played in normal Tie Break only.
Players who lost their Quarter Final matches are eliminated from the tournament, but may play in another Round Robin group (if time permits) to decide the 5th – 8th position. These matches will be played in normal Tie Break only.
Players who lost their Semi Final matches are eliminated from the tournament, but may play for the 3rd and 4th position in the tournament (if time permits). This match may be played at the same time as the Final, therefore can use the regular set procedure as in the Round Robin match.
Matches are self-umpired and should be conducted in the spirit of fair play (players who are not playing can help umpiring if both parties agreed to do so)
Anyone, winner or loser of the match, may input the result in the online system of Liga.Tennis Tournament page. If not, the tournament organiser will do so.
Tournament will use Dunlop Balls. Each Group Round Robin stage will use 1 can of ball (for 3 matches). Quarter Final matches will use 2 cans of balls (if played back to back using 2 courts) or 4 cans of balls (if played together using 4 courts). Semi Final matches will use the balls from Quarter Final matches. And Final match will use another 1 new can of ball.
Tournament Organiser’s decisions are final.
